A really useful website

Fortunes De Mer was established to promote Maritime Law and, in particular, Marine Insurance Law. It is run from Le Havre by Gael and Valerie Pinson. The site contains a wealth of information and documentation. Need a copy of the Indonesian Hull form of 1970 or the Institute Time Clauses 1/10/64? You will find it here together with, of course, all the more modern forms of marine insurance clauses, rules of practice and more. In fact, everything you always wanted to know about marine insurance but were too afraid to ask. Highly recommended.

The York-Antwerp Rules - 3rd Edition

Michael Harvey was very pleased to be asked by Geoffrey Hudson to cooperate with him in co-editing the 3rd Edition of his book “The York-Antwerp Rules”. This new edition, which was published by Informa in December 2010, has been updated to reflect relevant legal decisions since 1994 and includes details of the changes made in 2004 which have not met with universal acceptance. There is also new material relating to such matters as general average and salvage security and general average absorption clauses.
